Volkswagen - Volkswagen Jetta

The Volkswagen Jetta, available in 2 door and 4 door versions, was in effect a VW Golf with a boot added on! Produced from 1979, the idea of the Jetta was to have a larger Golf with a more traditional boot, unlike the hatchback which many customers were still getting used to the shape of. And as with the Golf and Scirocco, the bodywork was again the work of Guigaro. A Mk2 version came in 1984 and ran to 1992.

Tyre size for the VW Jetta varied with teh Jetta model. The VW Jetta L and Jetta GL fitted 155R13 tyre size, whereas tyre size for the VW Jetta S, Jetta LS and Jetta GLS was 185/70R13. The Jetta GLi was fitted with tyre size 175/70R13, which is basically a wider version of a 155R13 tyre size.
