AC - AC 3000ME

AC 3000. AC purchased the rights to a mid engined prototype called a Diabolo, a prototype that had been displayed at the racing car show in 1972. This was to be the basis of the next model of AC, after the years of building the Cobra had finally come to an end. AC took the on the Diabolo project and reworked it considerably, redesigning it with a different chassis and fitting a Ford V6 engine. For 1973 this new 2 seater with mid transverse engine was called the AC 3000 and orders were taken, but for various reasons it took too many years to get the new AC3000 to production, not becoming available until 1978, and with a very high price tag. Only some 80 or so cars were built before production ended in 1984.

Original tyre size for the AC 3000ME was listed as 205/60R14, which is just slightly smaller in diameter to 185/70VR14 which we would suggest. See full details of this tyre below:
