Bentley - Bentley R Type

The Bentley R Type took over from the Mk6 model in 1952, and had the "big bore"  4 1/2 litre engine (4566cc). The car weighed marginally more and had the far more practical and well styled "big boot" on otherwise the same Standard Steel Saloon, and as an optional extra there was now a choice of an automatic gearbox. The model name of R type came about because the chassis numbers of the car had changed to an R prefix. Bentley R Type production went on to 1955.

Tyre size for the Bentley R Type was a cross ply 6.50x16. We would suggest a radial size of Blockley 185VR16
