Bentley - Derby Bentley 3 1/2 litre
The Bentley 3 1/2 litre was the first Bentley car produced by Rolls Royce after their successful take over, built at their Derby factory. Produced from 1933, the "Silent Sports Car" Bentley 3 1/2 litre was based on the "small" Rolls Royce 6 cylinder 20/25, which had evolved out of their earlier 20HP. The cars were built to be a sportier, with higher compression and better breathing engines for a customer who was an owner-driver type. The 3 1/2 litre Bentley was built until 1936.
Tyre size for Derby Bentley 3 1/2 litre from the factory was 550x18 size, and Blockley offers two tyres of this size. The 3 stud pattern tyre, which existed and was used in period, and a later pattern 550x18 "A6C" tyre with a later looking pattern that many like. Blockley produced these sizes because the alternative tyres available in this size are not what what we would wish to use!
