Bugatti - Bugatti Type 59

The Type 59 was Bugattis last line of prewar GP cars, built for the 1933 season, with an engine based on ther T57, initially 2.8 litres. The 1934 formula limiting weight to a maximum of 750kg, so lighter chassis were needed while engine capacity rose to 3.3 litres. Paperwork among phillipe Etancelins archive has a letter fom Robert Benoist saying Bugatti was about to sell his 3.3 litre GP cars for a price of 200,000FF, which to put in context compared to 90,000 FF paid for his GP Bugatti 4945. Four cars were sold to English privateers, at higher prices than Bugatti had initially wanted.

To make the T59 look exactly as it did in period, fit 500x19 tyres to the front and 600x19 tyres to the rear.
