Jaguar - Jaguar Mk7

The Jaguar Mk7 was introduced in 1951. The Mk7 utilised the chassis and underpinnings of the previous Mk5 model, but fitted with Jaguars new twin overhead camshaft 3442 cc engine, in the same state of tune as used in the Jaguar XK120 sports car. By 1955 the Jaguar engine had been worked on sufficiently to increase the power output from 160 to 190bhp in the XK140, so this new specification engine also made it to the Mk7 , to make this more powerful model the Jaguar Mk7 M, while at the same time some minor stylistic changes were also made. Jaguar Mk7 production carried on until 1957.

Tyre size for Jaguar Mk7 and Mk7M was 6.70x16 originally. We would recommend the equivalent radial tyre size of 185R16 , and Blockley produces an excellent steel belt construction high speed rated 185VR16 tyre. We can also supply a cross ply tyre for those wanting one.
