Lancia - Lancia Flaminia

The Lancia Flaminia was the successor to the Aurelia model. Built between the years 1957 and 1970, the Flaminia shared basically the same V6 engine as the Aurelia, but with an enlarged capacity, first to 2.6 litres and finally 2.8. Models were the Flaminia Berlina 4 door, and 2 door Flaminia Coupe which both had Pininfarina bodywork. Then the Touring bodied Flaminia GT , 2+2 GTL and Convertible. And from Zagato came the Flaminia Sport and Supersport spanning all 3 series Flaminias.

Wheel rim sizes were the millimetric 400mm, and virtually all Flaminias used the 165R400 size. Many Flaminia owners are under the misapprehension that their tyres should really be a larger size, but most owners know that this really is not the case. All Zagato models of Flaminia Sport  and Super Sport had the 165R400 size. Flaminia 3C GT / GTL , Flaminia 3C 2.8 GT / GTL , Flaminia Convertible , Flaminia 3C Convertible , Flaminia 3C 2.8 Convertible plus the already mentioned Flaminia Sport  which consisted of the 3C Sport , 3C 2.8 Sport and 3C 2.8 Super Sport. All fitted on 165R400 tyre size. Blockley manufactures the best 165R400 tyre ever built, steel belted and the same dimensions as the low speed rated and not so great handling Michelins, which were the fitment on Lancias. Subsequently the Chinese Government Pirelli 165R400 has been made with a diameter too small, which they have priced close to the Blockley 165HR400. Blockley made the 165HR400 size because we are end users of the products we make, and want the very best. Note that our 165R400 Blockley tyres are as per original specification and therefore tube type.
