Mercedes - Mercedes W126
The Mercedes W126 models spanned the years 1979 to 1991, the coupe version made available for 1981. These were a continuation of the Mercedes S Class, taking over from the earlier W116 models, with a more aerodynamic looking shape, as well as reduced weight which helped with the increased fuel economy.
Tyre size for the Mercedes W126 was:
- Mercedes 280S, 280SE and 280SEL was 195/70R14 but most owners fit the very similar 205/70R14 size as used on other W126.
- Mercedes 380SE, 380SEL and 380SEC were fitted with tyre size 205/70VR14.
- Mercedes 500SE and 500SEL were fitted with 205/70VR14 tyre size.
