Monteverdi

With a background in race car driving, special building and running a car dealership selling Ferraris, Monteverdi started building cars in Switzerland in 1967, his 375S powered by Chrysler V8 engines. From 1969 the bodywork was supplied by coachbuilder Fissore, still 375S, open top 375C and later a larger 375/4. Production of the sportscars was finished by 1976.  After this Monteverdi specialised in off road vehicles, building the Safari, an also converting the earlier 2 door Range Rovers to 4 door. He was also briefly an F1 team owner.

The range of Monteverdi 375 models (375S, 375L, 375C, 375/4, 2000GTI, 450SS and Palm Beach) were fitted with tyre size 215/70VR15, a size which Blockley produces.
