Rolls Royce - Rolls Royce Phantom 4 ( IV )
For the Rolls-Royce Phantom 4, introduced in 1950, Rolls-Royce policy was only to sell this model to Royal families or Heads of State. The Phantom 4 consisted of a straight 8 engine of 5675cc, basically a Wraith engine stretched with an additional 2 cylinders, while also using the same inlet over exhaust Ricardo cylinder head. The chassis was a Silver Wraith type, but strengthened and elongated by 6 inches to allow for more formal and comfortable coachwork, this being manufactured either by Hooper or H.J. Mulliner.
Tyre size for the Rolls-Royce Phantom 4 was originally 700x17. Since there is nothing of quality manufactured in 17" tyre size, our Blockley 6.50x17" tyre (as fitted to the Wraith) would be the suitable quality alternative.
