Vauxhall - Vauxhall Nova
The Vauxhall Nova was produced in 1982 and was the British twin of the Opel Corsa that sold in mainland Europe. The Corsa name was not used in the UK in case it got mistaken with the word coarse or coarser, but the publicity department must have had a change of mind as later on Vauxhall did use the Corsa model name. The Nova was best known as a 3 door hatchback, but there were also the 2 and 4 door saloon versions, as well as the 5 door saloon. The Vauxhall Nova was built in Spain, so the Trade Unions at Vauxhall in Luton were able to use this as an excuse for enough industrial action to delay the model roll out in the UK, although production continued on in Spain. The first version of the Nova was built until 1993, to be replaced by the Corsa . . .
Vauxhall Nova tyre sizes were originally listed with 135R13 and 145R13. For the Nova that were listed with 135R13, this is a size no longer made, and should be replaced with the 145R13, which is the same 145R13 size the factory fitted to the Nova later on in any case. Blockley produce the perfect high quality steel belted 145R13 tyre size (a full diameter 80 profile 145/80R13) at a very attractive price, offering superb ride and handling - see full details of this tyre below. We also list the non standard 155R13 tyre also for those that are interested.
