Daimler - Daimler Majestic Major

The Daimler Majestic Major was first shown in 1959, but available from 1960. Looking much like the 150 hp straight six Daimler Majestic, but with a longer boot, the Majestic Major was fitted with the much more powerful 220 hp 4.5 litre (4561 cc) V8 engine, which gave the 1.75 ton car a top speed of over 120 mph. This V8 was the larger of the two V8 engines designed by Edward Turner prior to the takeover of Daimler by Jaguar. The Daimler Majestic Major was in production until 1968.

Tyre fitment for the Daimler Majestic Major was quoted as both cross ply 6.70x16 and 7.00x16, and the radial equivalent of both these sizes is the Blockley 185VR16 as was specified in period tyre charts. See full details of the 185VR16 tyre below:
