Ferrari - Ferrari Dino 246 GT/GTS
The Dino 246 GT and 246 GTS were the later 2.4 litre versions or the earlier 2 litre model, but with a longer wheelbase, and much heavier steel bodywork. Introduced in 1969, the fixed head Dino 246 GT later on in 1972 had a Spyder version 246GTS with the removable top. There were 3 variations of Dino 246 over the years, the earliest looking more like the 2 litre cars and later on having different wheels and windscreen wipers and other detail differences. The 246 Series 3 was produced in by far the largest numbers, as this was the Dino that got introduced into the USA, which had various differences and needing to suit the rules for headlamp position, while the engine needed to be detuned sufficiently to pass the Department of Transportation emissions tests. The Dino was a marque by itself, and was never officially branded as a Ferrari.
