Ford brought out the 100E "New Popular" in 1959, using the same 1172cc engine as the previous Ford Popular but with the engine now producing some 20% more power. The whole car was modernised with a more up to date look and hydraulic brakes. The Ford Popular used the same body shell as the Anglia but with minor alterations to the radiator intake, after the Anglia bodywork got replaced in 1959. So this Ford Popular was in effect the re badged 1959 Anglia model. The Ford Popular was in production until 1962.
Ford Popular tyre size was originally 5.20x13.
