Ford - Ford Prefect
The Ford Prefect was produced from 1945, known as the E93Ausing their already existing 1172cc engine, replaced by the Prefect E493A in 1948, which stayed in production to 1948.
The Ford Prefect 100E was the redesigned and up to date looking 4 door Ford that was introduced (alongside the Anglia 100E) in 1953, with both models being in production into 1959, after which the Ford Prefect was fitted with the 997cc 107E engine which had the overhead valve design. This later Prefect was produced until 1959, because Ford needed a small 4 door model available in the showrooms until such time as the replacement Consul became available.
Ford Prefect 100E tyre size was originally 5.20x13, and the radial equivalent size of this cross ply size is 145R13, which was also specified for the Prefect in period tyre brochures. The steel belted Blockley 145R13 tyre is the tallest and most correct tyre of any brand available, and therefore as close as can be to the original cross ply diameter used on the Ford Prefect. And as with all the range of Blockley radial tyres, we guarantee that
they will be the best tyres you have ever driven on - or your money back! See full details of this 145R13 tyre below:
