Lagonda - Lagonda 2.6 litre

The Lagonda 2.6 litre was the first postwar Lagonda, available from 1948, a car much larger than the Aston Martin. It was also the first Lagonda produced by the new David Brown owned company, using the new W.O. Bentley 6 cylinder engine of 2580cc. This 2.6 litre was originally advertised as the Lagonda Straight 6. There were two body types offered with this Lagonda - a 4 door saloon, and a 2 door drophead coupe by Tickford, the coachbuilding company soon to be taken over to become part of the David Brown organisation. Production of the 2.6 litre Lagonda continued to 1953, when the engines were enlarged to 3 litre capacity. This Lagonda is also referred often to as the Lagonda 2 1/2 litre.

Tyre size for Lagonda 2.6 litre (or Lagonda 2 1/2 litre) was originally quoted 6.00x16. Blockley would suggest the radial equivalent to this tyre, which is the 185R16 tyre size. See full details of our 185VR16 tyre below. We also make a suitable cross ply tyre also - ring for details.
