Mini - Mini Mk4
The Mk4 Mini went in to production from 1976, with a choice of four engine sizes which were 850cc, 1000cc, 1275cc, as well as the limited edition Mini 1100. To refine the new Mk4 Mini, the radiator was moved from the side to the front and the method of locating the front and rear subframes was modified, fitted with larger rubber bushing at the rear for a reduction in noise level inside. Both the Mini 850 City and Mini 1100 Special ceased production in 1980 when the Metro was launched, whereas the other Mk4 Mini models stayed in production to 1983.
Mini Mk 4 was fitted with tyre size 145R10, up to 1983, after which the Minis were fitted with a 12 inch wheel. Blockley produces a correct 145R10 Mini tyre, with steel belt constructionwith good speed rating, and in addition the wider version 165/70R10 size.
