Morris - Morris Isis

The post war six cylinder Morris Isis, built from 1955, was the new Morris replacement for the Morris Six of which had been in production since 1948. The Morris Isis (a name Morris had also used prewar) was fitted with the BMC C series six cylinder 2639cc engine, fitted to a stretched version of the 4 cylinder Morris Oxford chassis. For 1956 the Isis was again based on the Morris Oxford that was available concurrently, with the differences required to accept the longer 6 cylinder engine, and with various upgrades. There was also a Morris Isis Traveller option. Morris Isis production carried on until 1958, after which the Isis name was no longer used.

Morris Isis tyre fitment: originally the Isis tyre size was 6.00x15 and 6.40x15 for the Isis Series 2. The radial equivalent is 185R15 size, and Blockley produces the perfect 185VR15 tyre - see full details at the link below.

Note that we also produce the 5.50x19 tyres for the older original pre war Morris Isis that was built from 1931 to 1935, but in any case Blockley produces tyre sizes for most models of Morris cars from it's range of 60 plus tyre sizes.
