Opel - Opel Ascona

The Opel Ascona was produced from 1970 as a 2 door, 4 door or and estate version from 1973 called Caravan. There were 3 engine capacities in the Ascona range, 1200L , 1600L and 1900L. The first model of Ascona was produced until 1975. For the second generation of Ascona B models, available from 1976, the cars were restyled, but the engines stayed basically the same, with a 2.4 litre coming in 1976, For 1979 there was some more restyling as well as a 2 litre engine. Opel Ascona production continued to 1988.

Opel Ascona tyre size was the 165SR13 size for all engine sizes and models, and Blockley produces an improved speed rated 165HR13 tyre size. Blockley also makes the same diameter tyre but the overall wider 185/70VR13 tyre size which many Opel Ascona are now fitted with. Blockley also make a 175/70VR13 tyre which is a wider and marginally smaller diameter, a size used on many other Opel models in production at the same time. All these Blockley tyre sizes are high speed rated, excellent handling tyres, guaranteed -  see the full details of these tyres below :
