Porsche - Porsche 912
Produced from 1965, this is in essence a 911 Porsche fitted with the 1600cc 4 cylinder detuned version of what had been used in the 356 model. The price of the 911 was pushing away customers elsewhere, so the idea of the Porsche 912 was to have a car at similar price to the 356 that was being replaced, because the new 911 was quite a price jump, and the company was worried that sales of cars could be adversely affected. And Porsche were probably correct in this decision because the 912 vastly outsold the 911 to start with. The 912 also had better weight distribution and handling. Production of the Porsche 912 ended in 1969 (with both standard and Targa versions), which was superseded by the 914 model.
Tyre size for Porsche 912 would be the Blockley 165VR15.
