Riley - Riley 2.6

The Riley 2.6 was the larger of the two Riley models introduced by BMC in 1957, replacing the Nuffield built Pathfinder, with bodywork that was not so dissimilar. The Riley 2.6 used the BMC C series six cylinder 2639cc engine which was quoted to have 101bhp, but was otherwise similar to the less powerful Wolseley 6/90 (Mk3) variant which was much less powerful at a quoted 72 bhp. The Rileys in the BMC range were always had the most powerful versions of the engines they were using. Production of the Riley 2.6 went on until 1958.
