Volkswagen - Volkswagen 412
The Volkswagen 412 replaced the earlier 411 in 1972, both these models coming under Volkswagens Type 4 category. The 412 was a totally restyled car, and the following year 1973 saw the 1679cc flat four air cooled engine increased in capacity to 1795 cc, a larger capacity but no longer fuel injected. VW 412 production continued to 1974.
Volkswagen 412 tyre size was 155R15 originally. Blockley produces a 155HR15 tyre to suit, and also in a whitewall 155HR15 option. The VW 412 Variant, which was the 3 door hatchback or Estate version was fitted with the slightly larger165R15 tyre size, which Blockley also produces.
