Alfa Romeo - Alfa Romeo Giulietta 116 series
The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Type 116 was introduced in 1977. The 116 has nothing to do with the earlier Alfa Romeo Giulietta types made between 1954 and 1965, other than using the well known Giulietta name. The Type 116 Giulietta was only available as saloon or estate versions. Although the original Giulietta was always a 1300cc, these new Giulietta were either the Giulietta 1.3 (with 1357 cc engine) or Giulietta 1.6 (with 1570 cc engine). For 1979 there was a Giulietta 1.8 added to the range, and finally Giulietta Super, which was fitted with the 2 litre engine. These cars saw a couple of bodywork revisions in 1981 and 1983. Production of the 116 Giulietta series cars ended in 1985.
