Chevrolet car production started in 1914 with the overhead valve 171 cubic inch four cylinder Model H, which was later replaced by the Series F in 1917 that contiuned in production to 1926, and was the larger alternative to their 490 series. In 1915 the Series 490 (also 171 cubic inch = 2.8 litres) was introduced which stayed in production to 1922. The first Chevrolet with a V8 engine was the Series D abailable from 1917. Later on for 1928 the Series AD was built, which had the "Stovebolt" engine.
