Datsun - Datsun 240Z
The Datsun 240Z sportscar coupe was first available in the USA from 1969 and produced until 1975, with various specification changes throughout these years. With it's strong six cylinder 2.4 litre engine, low price and sports car looks it was an instant success, especially when compared to the older offerings from British manufacturers. Back at home in Japan they were marketed as the Nissan Fairlady Z, mostly with smaller engines (although the larger 2.4 engine was an option for a short time).
Datsun 240Z tyre size was originally a choice of 175/80R14 or 195/70R14 as far as we can tell. The Avon tyres fitments list from 1972 gives the 240Z tyre recommendation as 185/70R14. We have supplied Datsun 240Z owners with the similar 205/70VR14 tyre size. This is a high quality good speed rated period correct looking tyre with dimensions close to the 195/70R14 size.
