Mercedes - Mercedes SE W111

The Mercedes W111 incorporated a large range of cars spanning the years 1959 right through to 1971. These models came with 4 doors, 2 doors and as cabriolets, starting with the in line 6 cylinder 2.2 engine, and eventually growing to 2.8 litres. The models built initially were the saloon Mercedes 220 , 220S and 220SE. For 1961 all W111 models lost the older Fintail bodywork which was now replaced with the super stylish coupe 220SE designed by Paul Bracq, while the 3 models of saloons already mentioned continued to the end of 1965. For 1965 there was the 230S and 250SE with the 280SE introduced in 1967. By 1969 the 280SE Coupe was joined by the V8 engined Mercedes 280SE 3.5 Coupe and Cabriolet.
