Saab - Saab 93
The Saab 93 was built from 1956 with a longitudinally mounted 3 cylinder 2 stroke engine and distinctive with its tall grille in the middle of the new nose shape. The new 93 had a wider track and coil suspension (the earlier Saabs had torsion bars), and later came the one piece windscreen for 1958 with the Saab 93B. The Rally version of the Saab 93 was called the GT750 (with an extra 10bhp and fitted with twin carburettors). By 1959 the suicide doors were replaced with conventionally opening ones on the 93F. The Saab 93 also covers the models Saab referred to as 750 and 850 GT and the MC (Monte Carlo).
