TVR - TVR 2500 (Vixen)
The TVR 2500 was built between 1971 and 1972. It used the M type chassis and was basically a TVR Series 4 into which a straight six Triumph 2.5 litre engine was installed. Triumph had gone through all the hoops of getting their 2.5 litre "six" engine certified for use in the USA in a reasonably neutered 105bhp format, so this was a good way of selling these TVR's into the USA. In the USA, the TVR2500 was marketed as Vixen 2500 .
TVR 2500 (or the American version marketed as TVR Vixen) and TVR 2500M tyre size was originally 165R15. Blockley produce an excellent period correct high speed rated 165VR15, which will transform the handling of the TVR - guaranteed. A wider version (but same diameter) tyre size is the 185/70VR15.
