Volkswagen - Volkswagen Passat
The Volkswagen Passat was first introduced in 1973, based on the earlier Audi 80. Originally available as a 1.3 or 1.5 litre, a 1.6 litre engine was available from 1975. From 1982 the Passat was remodelled, and stayed in production to 1988.
Tyre sizes for Volkswagen Passat was dependent on the model:
- All VW Passat models with 1.3 and 1.6 litre engines were fitted with the tyre size 165R13. So this would include the 60hp models 1.3 C and CL and larger capacity75hp 1.6 C 1.6CL and 1.6GL. All models of Diesel Passat were also fitted with the 165R13 tyre size.
- the 1.8 litre Passat rated at 90hp were all fitted with 185/70R13 tyres. These were Passat models such as 1.8C, 1.8CL and 1.8GL.
-The 2 litre 5 cylinder VW Passat rated at 115hp was fitted with the 185/70R13 size. This was the Passat 2 litre CL and GL models.
