Delahaye - Delahaye 135

The Delahaye 135 Sport was a new car introduced for 1935, based on a modified version of the Delahaye 138 engine, which was a 80x107mm straight six of 3227 cc capacity. Due to the success of the Delahaye in the Coupe des Alps Rally, it was catalogued with that description. These 135 came with twin or the triple carburettor (110bhp) options. The Delahaye 135M had a 4 mm overbore resulting in a capacity of 3557cc, and continued in production into the postwar period right until the factory finally closed. The 135MS was the car that was usually seen in competition, which had the 2.7 metre wheelbase, and were very useful cars, winning Le Mans twice, and doing well in the Mille Miglia, making fastest lap at the TT and so on. A Delage badged Delahaye 135 was also very successful at Brooklands.
