Vauxhall - Vauxhall Victor
The Vauxhall Victor name was first used in 1957 on a very American styled car, with typical US styled windscreen and many other features. Even the exhaust pipe exited through the rear bumper. The Victor used the four cylinder 1507cc engine from the Wyvern model it replaced, but with more power extracted from it. For 1959 the front grille was simplified, while for 1961 the FB series of Victor was totally redesigned and disc brakes for 1963, with an option of 14 inch wheels. The sportier VX4/90 version had twin carburettors, higher compression and other performance parts.
For 1964 Vauxhall got another restyling for the Victor, the "FC" series, with a huge amount of changes, including a bored out engine to 1594cc , the sportier VX4/90 version of which gave 86 bhp. For 1967 the "FD" version of the Victor came in using a new 1599cc engine, as well as a 2 litre Victor 2000 with a larger bore, and a Victor 2300. The last Vauxhall to use the Victor name was the Victor 3000 introduced in 1973.

- Vauxhall Victor from 1957 to 1971 (Victor 1 , 2, FB , FC , FD) originally had tyre size 5.60x13 which is radial equivalent 155R13 tyre size. Some owners ask for the slightly larger 165R13 tyre.
- Vauxhall Victor FC model was quoted with 155R13 tyre size.
- Vauxhall Victor VX 4/90 models spanning 1961 to 1967 had larger diameter 14 inch wheels fitted with tyre size 5.60x14, which is radial 165R14 equivalent tyre size, but we have seen tyre manufacturer lists from the period also listing the wider 185/70R14, which is basically a wider version of the 165R14 tyre.
