Volkswagen - Volkswagen 181
The Volkswagen Type 181 was built from 1968 using the platform used by the VW Karmann Ghia, but with bodywork vaguely resembling the prerwar Kubelwagen, with fold flat windscreen and generally basic interior, as one would expect! Initially this 2 wheel drive type 181 was built for the German army but became available to the West German public as the Kurierwagen. Volkswagen Type 181 production carried on to 1983.
