Alpine Renault
The Alpine was the result of Renault dealer and Rally driver Jean Redele. His first Alpine was the A106 went into production in 1956 using the Renault 4CV as it's basis, this car winning its class in the Mille Miglia. When Renault brought out the Dauphine the Alpine graduated to the A108, after which came the sensational A110 in 1963 (by which time Renault had taken over the factory) which stayed in production to 1976. There were many versions using engines from the Renault 8, 12, 15 and 16.
