Ford - Ford Falcon

The Ford Falcon built in Australia by Ford Australia, was available from 1960 with the model XK, then for 1962 the XL, the Falcoln XM in 1964 and finally the XP for 1965. With 1966 came the next generation of the Australian Falcons which were beased on the USA built Falcons that had been released earlier that year, which were the first Falcons available with a V8 engine. These were the XR and XT for 1968, XW in 1969 and XY for 1971. The third generation cars spanning 1972 to 1979 came after Falcon production had ceased in the USA, so these cars became much more "Australian" in nature!

Tyre sizes for Ford Falcon:

-The earlier Ford Falcons built from 1960 (types XK, XL, XM and XP) were fitted with 13" wheels and the radial tyre to fit is the our 185/70VR13 size on their 4.5J wheel rims.

- Ford Falcon (and Ford Futura) tyre size was originally quoted as cross ply 6.50x14 and radial tyre size 185R14 with H (130mph) speed rating. Later Falcons had fitted the cross ply 7.35x14 and radial ply ER70 HR 14 tyre size for the more powerful 300hp model, again with 130mph speed rate, which is the same 205/70HR14 tyre size. Blockley produce both these 185HR14 and the wider 205/70VR14 with high speed rating, steel belted construction and period correcttread pattern tyres, which we guarantee are the best tyres you can buy (see guarantee) - and at a good price!  Full details below
