Opel Rekord tyre sizes:

The original Opel Rekord used tyre size 6.40x13 between 1954 to 1959 which is radial equivalent 185/70R13, whereas documents we have from 1960 show the Opel Rekord was fitted with tyre size 5.90x13 which is 165R13 radial equivalent size.

-The Opel Rekord Berline and Coupe made between 1959 and 1966 were fitted originally with tyre size 165R13 , and Blockley produces this 165HR13 tyre.

-The Opel Rekord C was built from 1967 to 1971 and had tyre size 6.40x13 which is 185/70R13 tyre size. But the Opel Rekord Sprint Coupe had larger diameter 14 inch wheels fitted with tyre size 165R14. Blockley make both these tyre sizes - 185/70VR13 and 165HR14.

- The Opel Rekord D was built from 1972 to 1977 and originally had tyre size 6.40x13. Later when radial tyres were fitted as standard these cars were then quoted with sizes 175R14 and 185/70R14, either size being good. Blockley produces this 185/70VR14 size.
