TVR - TVR M series
The M series chassis (M stood for the new Martin designed chassis) 1600M and 2500M and in late 1972 TVR introduced their new 3000M, using the 3 litre Ford Essex V6 - their highest performance TVR to date. Another version of the 3000M was the TVR Taimar available from 1976 which now had a convenient opening hatchback. The last in the M series cars was the 3000S convertible. The larger engined 3000M, Taimar and 3000S had the option of a Turbocharged engine.
Tyre sizes for TVR M series;
- TVR 1600M and TVR 2500M tyre size fitment was originally 165R15, and Blockley produces the perfect high speed rated 165VR15 tyre. Later on in the TVR production these cars were fitted with 14" wheels.
- When the TVR Taimar was fitted with 14" diameter wheels, the tyre fitment was 185R14, and Blockley produces a superb, high speed rated 185HR14 tyre.
- TVR 3000M tyre fitment size was originally 185R14 and Blockley makes this size also. We have supplied customers with the wider version 205/70VR14 size for the rear, especially on the Turbocharged cars, and we have even supplied the even larger 205VR14 size for the rear end for one customer.
