Peugeot - Peugeot 504
The Peugeot 504 was manufactured by Peugeot from 1968 initially as a 4 door saloon with a 2 door coupe and cabriolet for 1969, the year in which it was voted European car of the Year. For 1970 a 2 litre engine was offered along with the existing 1796 cc engine, as well as a diesel 2112cc. The same year the Estate version was introduced also. The Peugeot 504 was known for its long suspension travel and torque tube drive to the rear wheels, and Peugeots 504 became known as the workhorse of Africa. Developments carried on until production of the 504 ended in 1983.
Peugeot 504 tyre sizes were :
- 504L was fitted with 165R14 tyre size

- In addition the company Automobiles Dangel working closely with Peugeot engineers built the Peugeot 504 4x4 Dangel in station wagon but mostly pickup formats, starting in 1981. The Peugeot 4x4 Dangel was also offered in the Peugeot catalogue range, and some 20,000 of these Dangel 4x4's were made.
