Humber - Humber prewar models
Blockley manufacture a huge range of tyres, including many sizes for the various models of Humber made prewar, as well as the Veteran and Edwardian examples. Many of these cars may have had their wheel sizes changed over the years due to unavailability or expense of certain sizes, in which case we can probably suply these alternative tyre sizes also. Typically an example of the models and tyre sizes originally fitted to Humber were:
- Humber 8/18 had tyre size 700x80 which is the same 26x3 size. Blockley produces the best example of this 26x3/700x80 tyre.
- Humber 10hp of 1914 onward had tyre size 710x90 . Blockley produces this 710x90 tyre size.
- Humber 10hp of 1907 and later Humber 10.5hp and 11.4hp had tyre size 760x90 . Blockley produces this 760x90 tyre.
- Humber 10/12 , 16/20 , 16hp , 20hp , 16/24 , 14hp (both models introduced in 1914) had the tyre size 815x105 .
- Humber 30hp of 1908, and 20hp (120mm and 130mm strokes) and 28hp models had 820x120 tyre size.
- Humber 30hp of 1908 had tyre size 880x120 . Blockley produces this 820x120 tyre size.
- Humber 9/20 , Humber 12/25 , and Humber 9/28 had tyre size 27x4.40 which equates to Blockley 4.50x19 tyre size.
- Humber 15.96 (alsdo called 15/40) had tyre size 31x5.25 which is same as our Blockley 5.25x21.
- Humber 6/50 , Humber 16/50 , Humber 16/60 and Humber Snipe80 models all had tyre size 29x5.50 or 5.50x19 which equates to our 550/600x19 Blockley tyre.
- Humber 16/60 tyre size fitted 550x18 tyres, which Blockley produces.
